Great review from Jim Hughes, author of C through Marriage

Evelyn’s Anxious Bench by Allison Kohn is a wonderful story of how Christ actively orchestrates our lives and makes something beautiful out of them in ways we could never imagine. Alison takes us on a journey from the riches of life in Maryland, the hardships of life as lived on the Oregon Trail and the hardships of life in the newly settled regions of Oregon. Murder, rebellion, broken marriages, and disbelief are interwoven into this marvelous tale, I thoroughly enjoyed how practical faith was interwoven into “Evelyn’s Anxious Bench” as life unfolded for those willing to take risks and follow their dreams. You will enjoy immersing yourself in the budding romance of a young preacher and Evelyn, who lost her husband on the journey out West.
