What are Good and Evil?

Part II

What are good and evil?

  1. We define morality as the character of being in accord with the principles or standards of right conduct; right is genuine or real, the quality of not being spurious or sham; good as useful and worthy, uncontaminated, producing favorable results.
  2. The human body and soul, in its original state was the unadulterated image of everything that was useful and equal to the highest achievement and magnificence.
  3. The human body and soul, in its original state was in good working condition, perfect in every way.
  4. The human body and soul, in its original state always generated constructive consequences.
  5. We define immorality as the character of not being in accord with the principles and standards of right conduct or, in other words, the absence of morality; wrong as not being in accord with justice, contrary to fact or reason, false and unsatisfactory; bad as below standard, inadequate or not good.
  6. With the knowledge of both good and evil the human body and soul was no longer effective in its effort to reach its maximum potential.
  7. The human body and soul no longer operated the way it was designed to.
  8. The human body and soul began to produce destructive consequences.

I.            The DNA of all living cells, fooled into thinking that the protein was food, were invaded by DNA coated with protein that attached itself to the cells and injected its nucleic acid into its host causing defects in the design.

II.            Defects in the genetic machinery caused cells to divide and form destructive growths.

III.            Once perfect cells began to die off until the whole body was useless and dead.

  1. As the King James Version of the Bible puts it, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
  2. We define glory as the condition of highest achievement and magnificence’s.

i.            We only have to look around us to see the magnificent achievements of the Creator.

I.            Even marred by the foolish thoughtlessness of humans, we can see that the order and harmony of creation were designed and carried out by One who was able to reach the greatest and highest accomplishment.

  1. We define sin as the quality of being guilty.
    1. We define guilty as being in the state of having done wrong.
    2. It is common knowledge that “no one is perfect.”
  2. We have all missed the mark of the highest achievement and magnificence.
    1. No matter how morally upright we are, we eventually have to admit that we are still capable of doing wrong.
    2. No matter how healthy we are, we eventually have to admit that our bodies aren’t perfect, because we are all slowly dying.
    3. No matter how much we study and how high our IQ is, the more we learn, the more we realize that we don’t really know much.

¨      We don’t have perfect knowledge.

Conclusion

God’s perfect creation has been flawed, not by an act of God, but by the free will of mankind. The perfect body that God created to live forever begins to die as soon as it enters this world. The perfect soul that God breathed into us is marred by the knowledge of evil. Mankind has learned how not to do good and that has, like a cancer, eaten holes in the original blueprint.
